Richard Guy MD FRCS is a Consultant Emergency Surgeon at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. He qualified in 1987 from the University of Birmingham, and trained in general and colorectal surgery in the Royal Navy, Basingstoke, Oxford, St Mark’s Hospital and Singapore.
His MD was awarded for blast injury research. He has been an emergency surgeon at Arrowe Park since January 2019, having being a colorectal surgeon in Oxford (2009) and Peterborough (2001). His interests include emergency abdominal surgery, IBD and intestinal failure.
